This is something we see more often than we should. We call this “auction sabotage”.

A seller (car lot, usually), takes their car to the auction and buyers are allowed to look at them before bidding. Some shady ass buyers create problems with the vehicles in hopes of depressing their value and scaring other buyers off.

In this case, the assholes cut the wires leading to the transmission. This car which was clean now has trouble lights on and a transmission that doesn’t shift...

Poor oil burner

Had to air chisle the bitch after customer rounded edges off with a air impact and seized it to stud with locktight and air impact. No fucking idea why they did any of it. Ugga dugga’ed it to death

This the the valve body from the transmission. There is a small black piece of plastic which is preventing the manual valve from moving all the way (manual valve is connected to the shifter lever and cable)...

Black plastic from the previous filter being smashed. Pan was pushed in. No sign of damage until a while later and the manual valve got jammed up in drive and low. All works good now. Shifts good

So some clarification, car came in for a set of 4 tires. When the wheel lock key couldn’t be found, we recommended taking the car to the dealership so they could use their master set to remove it. The salesman didnt like that answer, and told us to press on and remove the locks He was informed there will be damage to the wheel, as we dont have the tools we needed to do it the right way. ..

Older lady customer. Engine light on. Pulls up to lube lanes instead of service parking or mechanic bays. “Thought it was in park” and tried to move seat back. Foot came off break and hit gas...

The worse part was , he said it just kept taking coolant it never filled up .... so he started adding water

Honestly, that trans line leak on the van ... I'd consider making that repair if it was a beater.

Yeah the trans end of those lines still look perfectly serviceable to splice into. I saw a reddit comment that dealer price would be about $120CAD . But another one recognized the replacement line for that van a s costing only about $25 retail .

Without knowing the year, I can’t confirm. B ut what I do know is , sometimes it’s easier to splice than it is to touch thos e fittings on t he radiator.

Wow. I'm so glad I don't work with anyone else. Auto shops are terrible for actual adults.
